Thoughts for Today - “Voices!”

Humans are known to often show a reaction to sounds and voices around them…But these voices may be from within the individual or from his environment; and every day, he is faced with many choices of which voices to listen to and follow…

Everything around us have got voices and have the ability to speak to us and most times influence our decision-making…The problem an individual then faces, is how to know which voices are saying the right things, which voices are trying to mislead, and  finally which one voice should be obeyed…

Most of these voices have the ability to reprogram or redirect a man’s thoughts either in the right or in the wrong direction; sometimes even unknowingly to him; same reason why one would sometimes take a very daring step, but can’t really explain why or how the step was taken, because some of these voices have the ability to work beyond one’s consciousness, though they may be inaudible…

Some of these voices include;  The voice of one’s conscience, The voice of one’s own will, The voice of d environmental circumstances, The voice of friends, The voice of a spouse, The voice of parents and family, The voice of the devil, and The voice of God’s Holy Spirit…

All the above voices keep speaking to one; all seeking to dictate and direct one’s life in a certain path; and every individual has and will definitely listen to and obey one or more of these voices, one time or another in their lives…

Yet! Only one voice can be trusted to always be right all the time; that is the “Voice of The Holy Spirit” in one who is born of God; other voices can always go wrong at any point in time, therefore cannot guarantee  the right outcomes always…The voice of the Holy Spirit will never lead a man in the wrong path; He says “...His ways are ways of pleasantness...” and that is the Truth!

The sure way to knowing God's voice is too keep seeking to know Him more intimately...The secret of the voice of God is hidden in the knowledge of God; the better you know Him,  the clearer you hear Him!
Better communication with God is the product of stronger intimacy with His Word!
God's Word is the written voice of God, and His thoughts are embedded therein... Having a personal encounter with His voice begins with walking in obedience to the dictates of His written voice...
Any voice not in agreement with God's Word is also in direct disagreement with God's voice, the source of the voice not withstanding; because God's Word and God's voice are inseparable! Attentiveness to God's Word is attentiveness to God's voice!
Understanding God's voice begins with understanding God's language and recognizing God's voice begins with learning God's language; God's language is supernaturally encoded in His Word and only God's Holy Spirit can interpret, teach and reveal its deep mysteries to the understanding of a natural man...
Seeking to hear God? He still speaks! Just live on by His printed Word of instructions and you will surely hear His revealed voice of direction!
